issue in updating status of SO

hi ,

i am updating the user status of a sales order,by using STATUS_UPDATE fm , this is working when we are checking at the se37 tcode, but when we are calling in the report it is just inserting a col into DB but updation col in DB is not done.

(as we use 2 internal tables for insertion and updation ).

Reply soon ...if anybody hv idea.
