Upgrade LiveCache version

Hello,

There is a new SCM 5.0 SP stack and therefore a new patch version for the livecache.

So i'll be upgrading from 7.6.03(SP14) to 7.6.04(SP15). I was wondering which option i have to choose in the SDBSETUP ... I have three options:

1° Install DB+software

2° upgrade DB+software

3° upgrade only software

Which one do i have to choose ?

Hello!

The tool is described in note 1092397.

Choose option #2.

You do want to update software and database, don't you?

Please make sure that you actually downloaded the liveCache software package...

I definitely do want to upgrade both the database and software

I was just wondering whether or not it will remove all the contents of the DB when doing the upgrade. I don't want to loose the data in it .

Totally understandable. I also would not want to loose any data.

None of the options would initialize the existing liveCache. But as I said - #2 is the correct one.

However, it is always a good idea to create a complete backup before changing the software...

I was goign to do the backup anyway ... as you said, it is always a good idea !
