Archive Information System (AS)

Hi All,

Can any body please explain me the concept (or purpose)of Archive information system or information structure. I want to know whether it will contain archived data or not.

Hi kannan.

as per my knowledge.

in Data-archiving......we have redu-file logs.

means in archive folder u wont find any data records......instead u 'll get version managemnet from there..

Hello Kannan,

The archive information system is a tool used to access archived data. An archive infostructure is an "index" used to directly access the archive data files. They will contain a small subset of the archived data - the fields which have been configured to use as search criteria, plus the pointer to where the rest of the archived data resides.
