Appset are being stored on my local desktop

I have copied 12 Appsets and given access to myself to 10 of them.

I noticed a few newfolders created in mydocuments/Osoft with these 10 appset names.

I have few questions here:

1. What is the logic behind in such automatic creation by BPC.

2. Also, I have observed the members of the dimensions are also created in the respective folder. Does it mean the other users created with in this appset will not have access to these sample files?

Any responses are greatly appreciated.
