Hi,

We are using EP 6.0 SP16 on AIX 5.3 Oracle 9.2.0.7.

When we click any link Ex, MSO from "Related Links" section on Home

page of portal, it opens a new window with the follow error

An exception occurred while processing a request for :

iView :

pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop/frameworkPages/fram

eworkpage/com.sap.portal.innerpage/com.sap.portal.contentarea

Component Name : com.sap.portal.navigation.contentarea.default

The exception was logged. Inform your system administrator..

See the details for the exception ID in the log file.

But In the Content Administration -> Collaboration content all

Related links are Working fine.

Can you please tell us where to check the problem?

Dear Chittya,

I think this is due to the content area iview which is part of inner page of the framework page.

Create the Framework page again and add the page to Desktop again so that it will solve the problem.

Try this it solve the problem.

Hi,

Please post the trace log related to

Exception id: 05:12_24/06/08_0451_2755150. So that we can analyse the issue.

Hi,

Hope you know how to create a log viewer iview.

create a log viewer iview, when ever you want to check the errors / logs then preview that iview. it will ask for some fields, copy and paste you Exception Id there. it will show the log corresponding to your error.

creating a log viewer iView :-

new iview-> select Portal compenent as iview type -> search for com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer and select the same. it will come to your folder. now you can use this log viewer whenever you want.

Hi,

use the below URL to see the logfile....

http://yourportalURL:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer.def...

incase if you are not able to see the above link... then first login to your portal using

http://yourPortalURL:50000/irj//portal as an administrator and then try to access above link....

there you could see defaulttrace.trc....

In those traces, open the one with minimum size(or latest updated, see the time specified in your error(05:12_24/06/08 in your case))...

inside that trace file search for your exception ID
