We have a map specific for a remote system. Can we change the remote system for the map alone??I need to have the same map for the other remote system too rather than recreating the map from beginning.
Thanks
Hi Aravind,
Yes we can transfer map from one remote system to another.
Please follow the below steps:
1. Open the Import manager and select the remote system on which map is created.
2. Export the map using File -> Export and give the appropriate name.
3. Open the Import manager again with the Remote System for which you need to use the earlier map.
4. Import the saved map.It will ask you to give the map name for the selected remote system.
5. Use can use File -> Open to open the map created for the new remote system.
Repeat the same for Syndicator.

Hi Aravind,
We can do that. If its a syndication map, open the map and syndicate it to your desktop. Then in syndicator, Go to "Destination Properties", select your remote system and say "Ok". The import the map saved at your desktop. Save this map.
If it is an import map, I am not sure that it will work as in SP05 (in my case it did not work). You can try on similar lines for import manager as well and let me know if its successful. I have never tried it on SP06. But I guess, it should work.
