re-edit transported.TPZ files

when we reedit transported.TPZ files...i do see those files in gray color and cant re-edit...

Hi,

It is not adviceable to edit the TPZ file, Shall I know the Business Requirement to Edit the TPZ file.

Yes, But it is not advicable to import the file after editing because it will loose it's properties

can you be more specific about the requirement so that the experts will be able to answer your query.

Are u trying to import the tpz files into another system and not able to edit objects then.this problem are u facing in IR or ID?

let us know your requirement.

well in IR....Please do remeber that..i am just trying it and didnt have an option to reedit...

Hi,

For experimental purpose is it,

Yes we can Edit it. If you open the TPZ file you will see lot of special characters . ( Make a copy of the TPZ file in your Desk top and try it )

yes for experimenting it.....its a sandbox....where do we find those special charecters...what is the use of it.

Hi,

With the help of Basis team get a copy of the TPZ file, Store it in your Desk Top and open it in a Note pad option, where you can find Special Characters. I did it some time before to see the content in TPZ file ( for my purpose )

Have you imported the whole software component or just namespace.

if Iam getting you right you are not able change message types,message interfaces etc...let us know?

if you have imported the SWC just check the SWC properties whether objects are modifiable or original.

I think re-edit .TPZ file will not done by you. Its with BASIS guys who can re-edit.
