How can I add my own properties to an iView for a Web Dynpro application?
Thanks,
John
Hi all,
implicit personalization is implicit, nothing you have to do and nothing you can do - as a developer.
There is an very useful article written by Jochen Guertler: [Integrating Web Dynpro and SAP NetWeaver Portal: Personalization of Web Dynpro Java applications|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b07501ec-39a7-2910-0699-f71070d2b245], that helps you distinguish between the different personalization levels.
Additionally you can find information on the Help Portal especially for the so-called implicit personalization: [Personalization|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/ed3ce7f8593eebe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm]

Dear John,
In application parameter of webdynpro iview you can add new parameter in the input field using & as a separator.

I've created an iView for my Web Dynpro application. I can Open->Object on the iView and edit the properties. One of the Property Categories is Web Dynpro and I can edit the Application Parameters. I'd like to define my own property here called Default tab with a dropdown list of the tabs available to the user. I would enable personalization for this property so users can select their default tab through implicit personalization. Within the Web Dynpro application I could then retrieve their personalized setting and set the default tab for the user.
