Hi Expert,
Please help me ..........................
Does anyone know how SAP calculate average stock in MC50 dead stock
when you click double-line button?
Thanks.
Hi,
Dead stock is the part of your warehouse stock that has not been used for a certain period of time.
The dead stock value is calculated by multiplying the dead stock with the current price. You can analyse the dead stock in MC50 based on the period to analyse, so that the system will consider the stock movements for that specific period only.
Refer the similar link for more details: https://scn.sap.com/message/6921290

For Example, there are 3 posting dates
GR GI Stock Level
26/09/13 - 1,000 - 1,000
28/09/13 - 10,000 - 11,000
29/09/13 - - 6,036.36 4,963.64
Let's say the period to analyze is 26/09/13 to 30/09/13 (5 days)
26 - 27/09/13 (2 days) : 1,000 x 2 = 2,000
28/09/13 (1 day) : 11,000 x 1 = 11,000
29 - 30/09/13 (2 days) : 4,963.64 x 2 = 9,927.28
then, sum all the results up and divide it by the number of days (period to analyze)
(2000 + 11,000 + 9,927.28) /5 = 4585.456
Hope this would help,
