ESS Cancel Approved leave request

Hi All,

My leave request is getting generated as well as the manager is able to approve, thats the normal scenario. I have a requirement where i have to delete a leave request which is approved by the manager. I am using standard workflow WS12300111 for cancellation request in spro.

Please specify some steps for the same.

Hi Guys,

Sorry i didn't post the solution.

What i did is i configured and started the debugger in portal, so that i can get a full fledged log. and scanning through the logs i found out that the end user was not having authorization not even read authorization on the system which we define in system landscape. basically it was an authorization issue.

You mean to say that when a person applies his request gets approved then it updates the infotype 2001 and it should delet form the infotype???

(hope i misunderstood the problem )

other side is if the manager is approving it he doest want to see it in his UWL inbox... .for this you can set the UWL refresh paarameter to 60 seconds the UWL will keep refreshing every minute and it will not be there.

Yes u misunderstod me.

1) user applies for leave manager gets the leave in his UWL. he is able to approve and that is getting reflected in the desired infotype. This is working fine no problems.

2) now suppose a user thinks that for a particular leave which is approved by the manager, he wants to cancel the approved leave. This is not working .

One more problem that is related to some other issue. If i create a iview for a service like PV7I. In backend in the service i have put in my r/3 client no, user id : that mine , and password : that mine too. Activated. tested working fine through backend. Through EP i try to run this iview its working, but if another user tries to access the same IAC iview he is getting portal runtime error. As in the service in backend i am specifying my id it is allowing anly me to access the iview no body else.

Hi Cancelling an already manager approved leave in not possible in ESS so far, for this you have to directly ask the time administrator to delete the record, or delete it directly from 2001.

Yes if a employee has applied and manager has still not approved it then the employee can select the leave and Retract / Delete that leave.

Regarding PV7i this clearly indicates that you have admin rights hence you are able to and the end user might not have the same, please check permissions for the end user.

Also assign full control permissions to the folder where you have the ivew saved.

Hi,

Cancelling an already approved leave request is possible. I did that its working fine now. and for the next question I have given full conrol to the iview as well as to the page which i am linking to the role. I ll try giving full control to the folder also.
