VAT registration number is invalid

The check for completeness and conclusiveness showed that the VAT registration number is incorrect. Depending on country-specific rules, parts of the number are used to determine the check digit, which must also be part of the entered number; usually this consists of one of the last two digits

The checks are hardcoded, use the error message number along with the country and check for OSS notes, if you are certain that the information you got from customer or vendor is correct and entered correctly. There are websites to check the correctness of VAT numbers e.g. http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/
