Support Message Status Enabling-Customer Action & Proposed Solution

Dear Gurus,

In the support messages in the change mode

The following status alone get enabled

In process

Sent to SAP

Confirmed

Where as the following important statuses are disabled.

Customer Action

Proposed Solution

How to enable these statuses

Hi,

The Status in Solman are based on the High and Low values

i e

take for example the high values for the following messages

In process -10

Customer Action -20

Proposed Solution -30

Sent to SAP -40

Confirmed -50

in this case if your status is In Process - you will see all other statuses enabled

now you change it to Sent to SAP - then both the status in between which have highest value of 20 & 30 will get disabled since the highest value tells SAP system the max value for whihc it can stay enabled.

or it practically means you cant jump form 40 back to 20 or 30

your solution in this case is to go to SPRO into CRM into Status Profiles and set greater highest values in order to enable the Status.

I checked the status profile SLFN0001 ,It has set as below correctly.

10 NEW New 10 60 1 1 SLFN

20 PROC In process 20 60 1 1 SLFN INPR

30 CACT Customer Action 20 60 1 1 SLFN RELE

40 SAP1 Sent to SAP 20 60 1 1 SLFN INPR

50 SPRV Proposed Solution 20 60 1 1 SLFN RELE

60 CONF Confirmed 60 60 1 1 SLFN FINI

As per the settings, initial status is 10 so the 20,30,40,50,60 should be active.

Where as 20 is active 30 is inactive 40 is active 50 is inactive and 60 s active.

Here is your problem

the logic says when you creat the message, the status = new

10 stays active at all time

now only when you move the status to 20

20 -60 are activated - cause logic tell SAP system that activate the statuses only when the status is IN PROCESS - 20 is activated.. the stats from 20-60 should practically be deactive/greyed out when the initial status = New

the reason for this is except for NEW all other status have lowest value = 20 i e they will only come in action when Stat = IN PRocess

I think you should move the Lowest value of 'In Process' to 10 so it is active when your messages stat = New

try putting it in status 20 and check.

else there is a chance that the profile gets corrupted and does not work

i suggest you CREATE a exact similar profile but do not copy this one.. just make a new one.

Hi Sulakshana,

I created a ztest a profile with different sequence and assigned to the SLFN transaction type.

But still i am getting the same problem.
