Hi,

I Created a FG material code without WS view.

When i tried to create a production order in CO01 got a error message "WS view not maintained" - fine.

Later i simply extend that material to WS view without maintaining any values prod shc profile.

After this step, I can able to create a production order in CO01.

My query is without maintaining any values like production Sch. Profile in WS view, system allowed to create Prod Order, then what is the use of just extending WS view in MM, since no values here.

Regards,

Dinesh V.

Hi Dinesh

This is a very basic system behavior: You cannot create sales orders if you do not extend the SD views in the material master, you cannot run MRP if you do not extend the MRP views for your material, you cannot create inspection lots if you do not extend the QM view for your material and so on... the same logic is valid for the creation of production orders.

Basically, you are telling the system that you allow the creation of production orders for this material by extending the work scheduling view for this material.

Caetano
