Hi, experts

I have a question when creating a new application based on a SAP Fiori template.

The question is when I create a new application, two options appear:

- App for SAP Fiori Launchpad

- Standalone App

1. If I want to deploy the application to the Fiori Launchpad of the ABAP system, What type of application should I choose?

2. What is the difference between these two types of applications?

For the attention given, thank you very much.

Hi Juan,

This setting basically means "from where you want to launch the app", either from FLP or directly from SAP Cloud Platform or your backend system.

If you select "Standalone", an index.html file is created and it executes the app at the target runtime.

If you select "FLP", there's no index.html, and the Component.js file is responsible to execute the app from the FLP at the target runtime (cloud/ABAP).

Hope this helps,
