OV51 Customer email change log is not showing the data in display

OV51 Customer general data email change log is not showing the data properly, when we maintain a new email id or when we delete existing email id system is not showing the values correctly, it is showing as ******created******* and ******deleted*****.

We need the values for created and deleted in OV51 tcode.. please help on this.

    Were you able to see those changes in S_ALR_87012182 ??

      Hi Lakshmipathi,

      I have tried the t-code S_ALR_87012182, it is same as OV51 t-code only, we are not able to see the removed and added email text in the display, is there any possibility to get the values in the S_ALR_87012182 report?

      only we can see replaced email text in the display. please help.

    Hi,

    you cannot see the changes of the Email id in OV51

    The possibility is there in Table- CDPOS with Table-ADR6 and Field name-SMTP_ADDR

    it displays the address number which matches with KNA1 address number

      Hi Shiva,

      I tried the table CDPOS, but did not get the changes details clearly, there are no of entries coming the the table, not related to address data. actually i need to see the values in report S_ALR_87012182 because i have thousands of records(customer/vendor) to cross check for one project.

      please check from your end if you have a better solution for me.

    To me the log looks as in the IDES system where I tested.

    When your customer has nothing in the e-mail address field and you add an entry - it shows as ***created***. You can see what was added in XD03.

    When you edit e-mail address without deleting the existing one - you can see old and new values.

    If you delete the e-mail address - it shows deleted, but from the previous entry for address you can see what was the value before the deletion.

    I personally prefer report RSSCD100 to OV51 - because ALV is more convenient and because for deletion you can see the following:

    I do not remember seeing insertion of e-mail address as value in changes in any standard report, if you really need one - you will have develop it.

    If this is a one-time activity though, even if you have thousands of entries to verify you may have a hard time persuading the business owner for additional budget.

    If there is no way to get development budget - it might be possible to do some mapping in Excel, but it is tedious.

    As you can see - on creation you just get a key with which you track subsequent changes, the actual data in this case you need to get from the application tables, in this case - ADR6. If there are changes or deletion- you will find them via the change object and key.

    What is the technical field name ? Go to SE11, input that field and display. Select "Further Characteristics" tab and see whether Change Document box is ticked.

      Hi

      It is checked already, problem is in OV51(S_ALR_87012182), we are not able to see the data, but in customer changes log we can see the removed/replaced values but not newly maintained. please check once. we have lot of data to check at a time.

    Yes system would display only if you change the value of any existing data.
