PM Basic Start and Finish Dates and Confirmatin dates

Are the basic start and finish dates on PM orders linked to confirmation dates? We have an enhancement that validates the revision/start dates and it appears that once you have confirmed an order, the dates are automatically changed when you change the order, eg. to Technically Complete it.

If there is a link, where in IMG is this turned on and off?
