MIGRATING CONTENTS TO AWS

Hello Gurus,

MOVING TO AWS

SAP BO 4.2 SP3 IN WINDOWS

INSTALL SAP BO 4.2 SP3 IN AWS.

I want to move the contents from sap bo 4.2 in WINDOWS TO AWS.

How can l move the contents since UMT is in the cloud? I don't want to use promotion management because we have huge content to move.

Any help, please

Hi JS,

UMT cannot be used to promote content between 4.x environments. It is a migration tool for upgrading from 3.1 to 4.x.

You would need to use LCM CLI for migrating the whole repository. You can also go for 4.2 SP05 which will allow you to use Promotion Management Wizard (another tool used for bulk migrations 4.2 SP05+)

The only way to move content between BI platforms of the same version, be they in cloud or between different galaxies, is to use Promotion management, or promotion management CLI or Promotion management Wizard.
