HTTP Status 500

HI Experts,

We are using ASP.net Application to show the reports of BO, the application is working fine but for some of the reports BO application is throwing "HTTP:500 connection closed" error: below is the complete error

HTTP Status 500 - javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.Error: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 0

type Status report

message javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.Error: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 0

description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

Apache Tomcat/7.0.55

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the URL for which the exception thrown is

OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.faces and we passing below parameters, for security reason we have removed the IDocID and the token.

isApplicationtrueappKindOpenDocumentsWindowSameiDocIDtoken
sKindFullClientsTypewid

Please find the my observations that will be helpful to understand the issue:

Que)what is the difference between reports this app is working and those it is not ? Comments)As we are using the Federation token to authenticate the BO. We are only changing the BO token and the Report id.

Que)User will get the folder and the reports details from an profile, only for this particular(say global) profile(folder) BO application is throwing the error, if the same user is attached to different profile(folder) it is working as expected. are working fine, which are in the different folder.

Comments) Yes, The other reports are in different folder, they are working fine. Que)Are the called URL's different ? No, The same URL(the query string will have different report id and BO token Are the reports that do not open accessible via bilaunchpad or CMC ? Comments)Am not confident about this, as am very new to SAP BO but one thing when Accessing with the ADMIN account(SAP). /BOE/OpenDocument/1412182033/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.faces?iDocID=56543 it pops out a sap login page and this reports works.

Qus)What version of Que)BOE are you using ?

Comments) SAP BO 4.1

On other note: As one of the expert(Denis Konovalov) suggested that issue might with the folder security, please help, me how to see the security for a folder in CMC / BI launchpad. Screenshots go through will be very helpful

Thanks,

Mohammed sabir
