Hide Break Subtotal

I have a table with a break by 2 categories type. I need to see the sum of just only one category. I don't know how to hide the second subtotal or create a formula that only shows the subtotal for one of the category.

example

category brand sales

a xxxxx 4

yyyyy 5

ccccc 1

subtotal a 10

b fffffff 2

nnnn 1

gggg 5
subtotal b 8

I don't want to show subtotal b, just only the subtotal for a, but I need to show the individual results for b.

How is it possible?

create two tables with same number of columns.

First table: Filter on to select values for A.Apply break and add the subtotal.

Second table: Filter on category where is not equal to A.

Remove the header row and use relative position to align second table with first.
