enterprise structure

HI guys,

We have 4 comp codes and 6 plants as shown below

Comp code A Plant 1000

Comp code B Plant 2001 & 2002

Comp Code C Plant 3000

Comp Code D Plant 4001 & 4002

Our client is using only one purchase organisation for all company codes

WE are planning to configure plants and pur organiastion as follows

1) Plants will be assigned to company codes as above

2) One purchase organiation will be created

3) Pur organisation will be assigned to all plants

But purchase organisation is not assigned to any company code or no standard purchase organiation is assigned to any plant

Is this OK or it will create any problem

any suggestions

    Hi Vineeth,

You are right. When you are using same purchase organization for different plants of different company codes it is better not to assign the purchase org to the company code.

You can proceed as you are planning.

    Hi,

Your settings are right. in case of one porg procuring for several company code, no assignment of company code to porg is done. Only porg is assigned to plants.

If you want to organise purchasing on a cross company code basis, you donot assign company code to purchase organisation. when you create a PO for example the system will ask you to enter company code for which you want to procure. In this case, you donot assign company code tp porg but specify the company code concerned for each individual purchasin transactions.

    Hi,

It seems you want to use the Purchase Organizationa at Enterprise level ie Company code level if this is the case No need to assign Purchase orgn to Company code.

Just You assign your Purchase orgn to all plants.

What ever you said is Exactly coreect. Please Proceed.

    Reg,

    Ashok
