SAC Predictive: Smart Discovery: Baseline and Comparison Group

Former Member

Hi All,

I built a smart discovery in SAC with a discrete variable (dimension) as target variable. I had to add the members of the target variable either to the baseline or comparison group.

What are these groups used for?

How can I display the members in these groups in the smart discovery?

The first bar chart to the right of the key influencers displays the selected keyinfluencer with respect to the baseline and comparison group, but the members of these groups are not shown. You can make them visible by clicking on the light bulb to open the configuration screen of the smart discovery, but I could not find a way to display them on the canvas. How should a user interpret the bar chart without knowing who the group members are?

I could not find an explanation of baseline and comparison group in the user guide. Please add an explanation of the two groups in the smart discovery chapter.

Kind regards, Martina

Hi martina.schnelle

at the moment, the smart discovery room is disconnected from the story builder, so those charts are static snapshots when copied over (For the time being). alas, some of the chart features you might hope for aren't available in that perspective.

As an SAP employee, and this being a predominantly customer forum, I'd recommend re-routing your enquiry to flavia.moser , rest assured the future is very bright for these Smart Assist features

If you have some qualified customer feedback for possible enhancement requests, feel free to submit that idea over here and let us know to vote it up! https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/884

as for the functional usage of Classification Groups versus Baseline Group abdel.dadouche may be able to point us to some deeper Cloud Platform documentation to help us understand that predictive service?!

regards, H
