SAP Personas 3.0 and IE11 - Horizontal Scrollbars

Hi

We are using SAP Personas 3.0 and have built a lot of flavours.

All of these flavours render ok in Chrome with NO scrollbars.

However, in IE11, the majority of flavours have horizontal scrollbars for no reason. These scrollbars shouldn't appear as there is nothing overlapping or no objects that require scrolling. In Chrome it works perfect but this scrollbar appears in IE11 only.

It's not impacting the functionality but purely cosmetic having this scrollbar appear. It does not look good appearing.

Any reason why this would appear when using IE11?

Thanks
Shaun

Thanks everyone.

Editing the flavour in IE11 did the trick. For some reason, Chrome allows containers to be a bit bigger with no scroll bars. In IE11, I had to reduce the containers and the horizontal sidebars disappeared.

The ONLY exception is for flavours which have a vertical scrollbar. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like in IE11 if a flavour has a vertical scrollbar, then it will ALWAYS have a horizontal scroll bar too. Even though the horizontal scroll bar is not needed. Anyone else noticed that?

Thanks
Shaun

I checked it and it seems that you are right. I usually use Chrome so I did not notice this "feature". So, it is the next example of IE11 and Screen Personas cooperation... 🙂

Hi Shaun,

I'm just guessing but maybe try to set properly the screen size (as a constant?). I think that it is IE11 fault and it fails with fitting your flavor on the screen.

may be this seems to be silly, but did you check the zoom level in IE?

Hello Shaun,

did you try editing the flavor in IE? if it is giving scroll bar over there and adjust the screen to remove the scroll bar.

Thank you.

Sagarika.
