Enabling UI configuration in webClient

Hi,

I am new to CRM 2007. Please guide me as to how i can enable UI configuration in Webclient inorder to hide or change views from the Web UI itself.

I came across that

To enable the UI configuration of pages and views directly in the CRM WebClient, your user needs to be assigned to the authorization object CRMCONFMODE, and you must have activated the UI configuration mode on the central personalization page. .

But i donot see a enable option inside personalize settings.

Moreover i am not sure how the CRMCONFMODE needs to be assigned

please help.

Best Regards

Uma Thirugnanam

    Uma,

Your security adminstrator needs to assign that object to your secruity role in PFCG. Once that object is assigned to your user, then you can login to the CRM webclient and mark that option.

    Take care,

    Stephen

      Hi Stephen,

I checked my PFCG Role and found that this object has not been assigned to me under CRM Component but I can still see the check box option under personalization setting in the UI.

Could you pls think of any other solution?

Hi Uma: Could you arrive at a solution?

      Best wishes, Sanjay
