How to read from a UCS 2 le-bom encoded file

I'm trying to import contents of a .txt file into a table using Data Services 4.2.

However, when defining the file format for the txt file, the sample data shows just 1 row with 2 special characters instead of more than million rows in the file with character data.

On opening the file with notepad++ I found that the file is encoded in UCS 2 LE-BOM format and if I save the file by changing encoding to utf-8, BODS is able to read it fine.

Is there any way BODS can be set to read from the file directly without having to manually change the encoding as I do not see UCS 2 LE-BOM as a available option for file encoding in DS while defining the file format.

No. You will have to convert the file to UTF-8 format
