Cheking in Originals to Content server using http

hi,

I have installed a content server and trying to configure DMS so that any document uploaded in CV01N transaction gets stored in the database.

The required configurations has been done in OAC0 transaction.

Now i create a document in CV01N transaction and upload a file into it.After that i do a 'check in original' action and finally save.

When i save the system gives the message 'Testing Destination SAPHTTP' OK and after that it gives an error message "Error while checking in and storing: C:\002796.pdf.

Can some body give some info how to troubleshoot ?.

thanks

dev

Hi sukhdev,

Have u defined Workstation application for PDF format. May be the problem is basically there. Also check the content server by taking any other file say word file. If that file is getting saved, that means your settings for pdf file is having some problem.

Awards points if solution is helpful.

hi,

Dont maintain any file path in dc20 like C:\ make it blank.

As you are string the doc in content server.

make storage catagory in tcode oact

give catagory name as some ZDMS like.

and put the description and in repository mention your content repository which you confuigure in oac0.

donot use dms_C1 : this one is default one.

once you maintain this , check in the doc in ZDMS whatever name you have given in OACT catagory.

I am sure that that error will not come.

Sham,

Thanks for the reply.

I can store the document in SAP database by changing the document level settings and it works fine. I dont have any problem upload/downloading file from front end.

Now i want to store the document in content server rather tthan sap database.this link works using http.here i am getting error.

Hi,

May be host file entry missing.

Open the hosts file of your workstation.

In the host file make an entry of the content server. ie specify the content server name and IP.

Eg

101.234.123.32 Contentserver

I hope this resolves your problem.

hi,

I have already maintained the host entries. The problem is not with host entries.

Is there any option to get the log information about the http actions happening from sap to content server.
