Workflow: Termination event not completing the tast

Hello Experts,

We have created custom workflow which triggered when event PLANASSIGNED of BO BUS2045.I have added a custom task and added on Async. method INSPECTIONLOAD DISPLAY to call Tcode QA02 and set a Terminating Event USAGE DECISONMADE for this task.

On Event USAGE DECISONMADE I am calling separate sub workflow with some BG steps.

When I have made USAGE DECISION through Tcode QA02 separately not form workitem then my sub workflow completed successfully but workitem is still my inbox Ideally It should be completed . Some time its completing the workitem and some its still in my inbox .

I have checked some of inspection lot for that Usage decision made from Tcode Qa02 and for that event got triggered and my sub workflow is completed but still that workitem is in my inbox.

This behavior is occurring only in Production system.

Please provide your suggestions to solve this issue.

Please also check did you do binding on Terminating event.

Hi Mike,

I have checked the log of sub workflow which triggered by terminating event and found that sub workflow got completed successfully but terminating event didn't completed the workitem of task on which I have applied this terminating event.
Sub workflow triggered based on USAGE DECISION MADE event which triggered either by processing workitem of task or by external Tcode Qa02 .
