Hi .. We are using SDI in one of the project .. We are creating multiple remote sources as part it using ABAP adapter(for R/3 connectivity) and HANA adapter(For DB connectivity)

We would like to know which adapter is faster between ABAP and HANA Adapter for fetching the data. ?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your reply.

Using SLT we can replicate data through target HANA system.Like SLT is it possible to replicate data to target HANA using SDI? or only have to access data by adding as virtual tables?

Thanks

If you check out the capabilities of the HANA Adapter in the link from my Answer, you will see that SDI can target HANA in both real-time and batch replications.

Hi Sampath,

Since you are concerned with speed, I am assuming you are going to want real-time changed data capture, because the alternative is a full load each time the data is updated which is poor practice. ABAP Adapter is versatile, but does not compare with CDC adapters in terms of speed.

If you are indeed looking for real-time replication, your only option out of those two is the HANA Adapter, since ABAP Adapter does not support real time data capture.
