Dear gurus,

My scenario is.Header A consists of dispatch salable materials like a1,a2 and a3.(i will maintain a seperate bOM for A).a1,a2 and a3 consists of individual production boms seperately. If i put pir of A say 100 numbers. For A system should not through planned orders.A should behave like a phamtom. For a1,a2 and a3 system should generate planned orders of 100 each with explosion with production BOms.My scenario is make to stock.sales order will be booked for a1,a2 and a3.stock a1,a2 and a3 will be despatched against the sale order. What starategy i have to assign for A,a1,a2 and a3?please through some light on this.

Hi Guna.

Since you are creating PIR for header Material , without creating planned order how the PIR will get reduced. Inthat case u have run reorganization for PIR.

I guess "Planning with planning material with out MTO (63)" will meet your requirement. In your case Material A is planning material and Material A1 is variant material.

Assign the planning material A & plan conv fact at MRP view of "variant material (A1)".

Create demand for planning material and run MRP. System will create VP type planned order for planning material and LA type for variant material. if create sale order for material A1 it will reduce the PIR of A which already created. Now when u run the MRP second time for A, planned order will be deleted. Inthis way u can run your scenario

Please try and if u found useful reward and close.

Hi,

As per my understanding you shold apply strategy 40 to a1, a2 and a3. For A you can use strategy 10 as sales order is always for a1, a2 and a3 not for A.

But caterring of demand as what you require is not possible with this.

Either create a product group for a1, a2 and a3 or create a new material say A1 and maintain a1, a2 and a3 as its BOM components. Ignore planned order for A1.

The similar thing you can do for A also.
