jco for integration of crm

Hi,

I am trying to synch business partner data between salesforce and crm sap in real time.

For this I have been doing research on the CRM middleware.

My question is regarding SAP java connector.

JCO is built on the middleware and hides rfc calls from users.

Does that mean in the context of CRM SAP it is built on CRM middleware.

Can we use jco instead of directly using CRM middleware?

Also for salesforce there is an apex api having its own java libraries. So is integration possible by using java libraries from both sides?

Awaiting response.

Regards

Shilpi
