Hi All,

why the From field isn't available in the balance sheet selection criteria ? if I fill 31.12.2008 in the To field, does it means that the report balance sheet will contains total balance from january 01,2008 or from previous posting period, e.g. is my previous posting period is 2004, then it means that it will january 01, 2004 to December 31, 2008 ?

Pls give advice

Rajh

    Hi Rajh,

As you have seen, there is no from field in the Balance sheet report. The balance sheet for a particular date is a report that shows the accumulated assets and liabilities of the company up to that date. Therefore, if you fill 31.12.2008 in the To field, it means that the report balance sheet will contain all the transactions from previous posting period when you start using this account. If you start recording the transaction in this account from 2004, it will include the 2004 year information.

    Hello Rajh,

In the Balance Sheet, there is a field 'Profit Period'. This holds the profit for the year. However, note that if period end closing was not performed for the last fiscal year, this value will include the profit/loss for those fiscal years.

    I hope the above helps.
