Hello ,

I was able to connect to WebIDE till last few days, suddenly I am facing with the issue the catalog service couldn't be reached. please check the service configurations and connect again, while connecting with oData Service, even data is not loading from the back end.

Checks I have done till now -

1. CATALOGSERVICE is active

2. we have 2 (version 1 and 2 ) /IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG1, I have tried by remove the system alias, still the same.

3. Checked the response from maintenance screen, there are no errors.

Please let us know, if I am missing anything?

Regards,

Sagarika

Hi,

If it used to work and suddenly stopped working, could it be that something was changed on the backend side?

Please attach how you configured the system as a destination in the cockpit and in the Cloud Connector.

Regards,
Michal.

Hello Michal,

Thank you for the response.

I am using local WebIDE.

#ServiceDestination

Description=XXX

Type=HTTP

TrustAll=true

Authentication=NoAuthentication

Name=XXX

ProxyType=Internet URL=http\://XXXX:port

WebIDEUsage=odata_abap,ui5_execute_abap,dev_abap

WebIDEEnabled=true

WebIDESystem=EH0

sap-client=XXX

How ever I am able to connect UI5 applications, through import option, the only issue is while connecting with Odata services.

Thank you.

Regards,

Sagarika

Hi,

It needs to work in the GW_CLIENT in order for it to work in Web IDE :)

Please contact your system admin in order for this url to work.

Regards,
Michal.

Hello Michal,

Now I am able to execute the service /sap/opu/odata/iwfnd/catalogservice/?sap-client=600 without any issues form gateway client as well as in the browser, but the problem remains same in SAP WebIDE, below URL is asking for credentials, and I am not able to login into it.

I didn't find any authorization check fails also, can you help me to figure out the issue

http://localhost:9090/webidedispatcher/destinations/EH0/sap/opu/odata/IWFND/CATALOGSERVICE;v=2/ServiceCollection?$format=json

Regards,

Sagarika.

What are the credentials that you're entering? Make sure that you're entering the credentials for EH0/600.

When you execute this request in the browser, don't you enter credentials somewhere?

Hello Michal,

Yes I am entering the correct credentials.

Now I think I figured out the problem, the prompt which ask for user ID and password is not coming while connecting with oDataServices. I have changed the destination property to basic authentication then it worked, but I am again not able display any application which I have downloaded from EHO, again the prompt is missing which asks for username and password for $metadata.

Can you suggest me why it is not asking for credentials?

Regards,

Sagarika.

Could it be that your system configured was changed in the sense of the authentication?

Any authentication configuration different than "basic authentication" is not supported currently in Web IDE.

For example if the configuration is "form authentication" or saml-based, it will not work.

Another possibility would be that some credentials are configured in the service level in your backend. This can also explain why the popup for credentials isn't raised.

Please check these issues.
