Problems When Invoking a BAPI

Hello,

I call this BAPI "BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2" to create a Sales Order,

But When I run it, no results generate. I don't know why, actually,it is the first time for me to call a BAPI, would you tell me what details I should pay attention to?? Thanks so much

    Hi,

did you mark the fields that you want to create or change within the appropriate X-Structure?

Did you call FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after calling the BAPI (the FM is better than COMMIT WORK )?

    Just hints.....

    Regards Rudi

You are absolutely right, thanks very much

And a subsequent problem. I use BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE to add new item to existing SO document, Everything is correct except the field ORDER QUANTITY, which is always 0. That means my quantity value didn't passed to the certain parameter. As you know, the quantity is passed via schedule line variable.

So what is wrong? Any suggestions?

      Thanks

    hi,

Pass the Return table of type BAPIRET2, that table will be populated with the errors if any while processing the BAPI.

and we have to externally write the commit for BAPI FMs.

Use the FM BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commi the work

    Thanks,

if you are running the bapi on stand alone system it wont update in the SAP and you need to call "BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT"
