XI Facts

Hi Experts,

I want to know some facts about xi. I am using Java appln and oracle is my backend. I want to connect my application to SAP

I need XI for that. I need to replace complete my application with SAP-XI. In what scenario i need XI.

    HI,

    You can migrate it to SAP XI, but did you checked that it is a feasible operation for your company. If you are doing it for testing purpose, then its on you.

    Lets see, if you have a working scenario from HTTP to Oracle (JSP - Oracle), you can create this scenario in sap XI using the HTTP adsapters , JDBC Adapter and using the XI mappings.

    You need to go to XI for any data transfer between your Oracle data base and ECC..

    you can use either SOAP adapter or proxy at sender side.

    Your scenario looks like either

    JDBC->XI->IDOC for coomunication with Oracle database to SAP

    SOAP->XIIDOC if they can expose their programs as web service

    Java Proxy>XI>IDOC for better performance
