Update to 5.1SP3: Column 'IndexDefrag' does not belong to table Application

Hi guys,

I just upgraded a SAP BPC server (single server instalaltion) from 5.0 SP2 to 5.1 SP3. Everything is working okay except for optimizing an application. When I optimize an application (full/incremental.light -with and without compress) I get the following error message:

Error message:Column 'IndexDefrag' does not belong to table Application.

This happens at the step Processing OLAP DB. The same happens with the AppShell and other application sets.

A process on the cubes itself (by using Analysis Services) is no problem.

Could somebody help me out?

Paul,

You didn't upgrade your admin client after upgrading. in the new admin console there is a new checkbox for index defragging. This error indicates that you have an old clientI. I've had the same issue in the past, after upgrading the client everything works well.

I did the upgrade of the client to 5.1 (after installing 5.1 on the server). After testing I upgraded the server to SP3, however I was so eager to test SP3 I forget to upgrade the admin client!

did you save all applications after the upgrade?

If no; please save all applications with all selectionboxes switched "ON"

if yes; I hope someone else can help you.

Thanks for the quick reply. When I save any application (Finance/Ownershio/Rate) I get the following error message: Object variable or With block variable not set.
