Can we shedule a t u2013 code in background job ?

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where user is supposed to schedule a background job but the program does not have a selection screen and user does not know the program name as well .

Is it possible to schedule a t-code for background process. ??

    Hi Bikas ,

    I dont think you can schedule a tcode.

    Why dont you get the program name from the tcode and try to schedule that program in background.

    Hi,

    you can't shedule a t-code. If t-code refers to a report. you can schedule the report.

    Dialog programming (module pools) can be handled with bdc. Often it is tinker work.

    It is often covered in this forum.

    If there is another way (BAPI BADI etc) don't use bdc.

    Write one simple program where you use call transaction statement ( just like we use in BDC ) and schedule that program in the background.

    Here You can enter any user defined data if required.

    You simply create an executable program.Call that T-code in that program........now u can schedule this program as per your convenience............I think this is the simplest way.....

    Hi,

    go to transaction SE93 enter the said t-code and display, if program is an executable program then you can schedule in background.

    you can call a tcode in the background process in a program using the ..

    call transaction statement ....may be you need to set the mode N
