How to Enter Product id in Opportunity

Hi Folks,

My cleint is in Automation , Mechanical and Engineering Services - We have implemented CRM 5.0 Version of Sales - it includes Presales activities like Leads and Opportunity and now the Problem is in entering Product id - Users are not able to Understand SAP Material codes and if they go by Hierarchy r by Description they r not getting the desired product . Do guide with your valuable inputs.

Note : Dont suggest me for Third Party tools like - Retalics and POC - Usally those will be used in FMCG , at the time of Delivery and Billing , where here it is not the case.

Thanks in Advance .

    Hi Amrita,

There should be some attribute (field) in the Product which the users might be familiar. Why cant you include that in the F4 help?

For this you will have to enhance the Search Help.

      Hi amrita,

i ve never across this, anyhow there r a lot of functionality in SAP search functionality, they can search through sales org, div, plant, country, hierarchy, description etc, ititially they feel something difficult because they have already habituated to other tool,

ask them how they identify product easily, so that u can explain abaper to insert that field into search functionality, it is better to ask a ur mm guy for possibility because he can also understand that well na,

let me know how u ve given the solution
