Benchmark reporting for Dashboard

Hello,

we need a possibility to benchmark headcounts. Our User are authorized for some costcenters but we need also the Information of all headcounts for all costcenters to have a possibility to Benchmark the heads with the hole department heads.

How can we solve this in a query / design studio application without giving the user authorization for all costcenters ?

While I won’t claim to be a security expert, assuming your data source is BW, you should be able to use Analysis Authorizations to achieve the desired outcome. They specifically discuss how to apply such authorizations to allow display of overall cost center totals while still restricting display of a subset of cost centres by user:

My understanding from these is that you need to use the Colon (:) special character to authorize access to aggregate data via Analysis Authorizations.

BW Analysis Authorizations is a highly specialised topic and as such is normally configured by a BW Security Administrator. Do you have one on your team that you can consult?
