Cant send email from guided procedure

hi expert,

I encounter problems while do testing for my interactive form 's callable object.

May i know what are the configuration i need to perform at visual administrator in order to send email out using guided procedure..

Colin,

Logon to Visual Admin and then choose Cluster --> Server --> caf/gp/eu/model and provide the SMTP Server and service_user_email address.

In visual administrator,

I go to the server->services->caf/eu/gp/model to configure my

SMTP.SERVER and SMTP.SERVICE_USER_MAIL atttribute.

for the smtp server, i am using a gmail server, smtp.gmail.com.

However, the problem is when i do testing in my interactive form callable object. I encounter problem stating i need to issue a STARTLS.

I am wondering if i need to enable SSL in visual administrator to use gmail's smtp server? If so, can some one advise me how can i do it.

Sorry i dun quite get it. What do u mean using my own smtp server as well?

This is my configuration

smtp.server = mail.sap.corp

smtp.service_user_mail i have set it to workflow's email

Beside this configuration, what else is needed to be done?
