PLD - sorting a problem

hi All!

we've designed a QPLD report. the query retrieves customer name and amt from db. we have another db field which will display another amt. To say,

F_1 = customer name

F_2 = amt1

F_3 = amt2

F_4 = F_2 + F_3

now we display in qpld F_1 & F_4. we sort the F_4 field descendingly. but it is not sorting correctly like,

9900

987

8021

865

80

703241

'

'

'

'

100087

13234

its not fair descending. how to sort correctly?

Any one guide me.

Raj.

    Please post your sql query.

    In Qry add one column of amt1+amt2.

    and sort the result of query on that added column.

    If you changed qry need not to recreate new QLD.you have to update only the Qstring column from RDOC table with the current Qry String.

    Hopw this will help you..

    Warm Regards,

    Mahendra

    Hi

    Are you applying the sort in the query itself? It might be better to sort the repetitive area in your PLD.

    Regards

    Hi Dear,

    You can update RDOC table.i did this before many times and it works fine.

    so kindly sort your result in sql query itself. and update the RDOC table as follows.

    1) Note down the Document ID of your QLD.

    2) Use the update statement as

    Update RDOC set QString='--- Paste here new qry ---' where Doccode='Your Document ID'

    Hopw this will hlp you...

    Warm Regards,

    Mahendra
