how to disable right click, save , save as, save target as to pdf files

Dear All,

I want to add pdf file to portal so tht user can not copy the text from file (right click disable).

but i also want to prevant "Save As" and "save target as" option on portal, so tht user should not be able to save my files.

Objective : on clicking user can only see the contents of pdf files ( right click, print, save target as ,save, save as should be disable).

Please try to help for better solution to do this .

In adobe "Save As" is not being locked .

and how can we lock "Save Target As " option.

When you put a file in the KM is to share, that mean at first download the file, in case of PDF files, the action by default its to open a reader inside the browser, only with this, the file has already download in the client computer to could be open by the reader, even if you disable the option Save as, there still options to get the PDF files from temp on the client computer. So if you want to not to share the file, but only to give a look, I think PDF its not the better format. You can disable print or modified, but save I think not.

When you create the pdf files, you have to disable all this option. In the KM, you can set permissions to the file but not that kind of options. What you want to disable are options for the PDF files, you need Adobe Acrobat or other PDF tool

u can do these restriction in pdf files itself and i dont think it is possible in km once u open the document

go to documents -

> security settings and provide the required retriction to the file.
