OM Authorization for Managers.

Hi all, i have this scenario where my company uses Structural authorization such that a manager in 1 division is not allowed to access employees belonging to another.

However i have situations whereby this manager is a covering officer for an employee not within his authorization. In order to approve the leave (i.e bring up his name, department etc), how can i can by this authorization problem while still using Structural authorization to restrict the majority of the access ?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Maintain the relations in PO13 to the Manager position Numbrr and subordinate position number eg belongs to, line supervisor etc. I think your problem will be solved.

    Hi,

You have to check in cluster level authorizations.

If you want to have structural authorization, you need to have this employee reporting to the specific manager to sort this out. Customizing the workflow in this case will lead you to more problems
