ESS Personal Information Links

Hello all,

Request your help!

The ESS links u2013 Address, Bank, Personal Data and Family Member/dependentthat are part of Personal Information tab are not showing up. This problem is happening in Production only and not experienced in any otherserver.

We have checked that the infotype 0105 subtype 0001 is maintained correctly. The authorizations roles have also been checked and all is fine. The problem is happening with the standard ESS role. The standard ESS config in SPRO has not been changed. We have compared the config with the QA system where this problem is not present, and the configuration is identical.

Hmmm....those links are handled by the "proxy class" that actually decides the country dependent links to display. How about this.....have you set a external breakpoint in the proxy class to see what is happening there? That would be pretty quick. I am not on my server at the moment else I would walk you through it exactly. The proxy class should show up in the SERVICE defined for personal "ess_persinfo_2005" or something like that. It will have the proxy class in there but no URL/PCD path. I posted another post a few days ago about some country specific services and I think it is mentioned in there.

    • Hmmmm that IS very odd. But I guess since your AREA GROUP (overview) page is cached you saw it, but the AREA page does need to communicate to the app servers to determine services. In any event....odd.

Load balancing should not be an issue in general. My past two clients (one ECC5/EP6 and one ECC6/EP7) both used load balanced servers to "point" the portal to the backend. My guess is that the "system" config in the portal to your load balanced servers might be fudged up some and/or your JCO destinations. This is where you call in the BASIS folks. haha

Most of those services are COUNTRY DEPENDENT and will show according to the user's MOLGA user parameter. Makes sure it is set correctly.

Yes, I see the Personal Info area page with the icon and text on the Overview page. Then when I select the Personal Info link or even the tab directly, the Address, Personal data, family member/dependents and bank details link do not show up. The EIC Authentication and Pers. File links do show up.

The overview page comes up with all the links as per the framework configuration.
