R3 Upgrade clear LO cockpit delta queue

Former Member

Basis is applying some patches in R3 and for that they need BW team to clear delta queues after locking the deltas.

2 questions:

1. On development system, we cleared LBWQ entries and RSA7 entries directly but R3 patch did not go through till we cleared all the LO Cockpit setup tables.

Is it mandatory to clear setup tables? because we can't do that in production.

Does somebody has steps to clear LO cockpit deltas?

2. What's the difference between MCQ1 and LBWQ transaction?

THANKS FOR REPLIES BUT WE DONT WANT TO DELETE SETUP TABLE DATA UNLESS IT IS MUST. IS IT MUST TO DELETE SETUP TABLES?

Hi,

Yes its a must to delete the data, else the patches won't go through. What you can do, is if not already done so, pull the setup table data just upto the PSA, so that you have a backup even after you delete the data from R3.

Its not a must but you dont really need the data after the init...you would have to do it anyways if there were any structure changes and if you needed history...

Hello,

Yes, there is no problem in clearing the setup tables.

To clear LO cockpit deltas, you have to:

- trx. sbiw - stop jobs for the required area

- execute job manually to clean vbdata completely

- monitor in lbwq to see if vbdata is empty

- execute infopackage in bw to clean delta queue

- monitor in rsa7 to see if delta queue is empty

- monitor lbwq and rsa7 to see if the queues are empty

Assign points if this helps

Hello,

You can delete the data from the setup tables without any problem. We sometimes delete and fill the setup tables again for testing purposes and the delta go on without problems. I repeat the setup tables is used on init and full loads. Delta data is in delta queues, you can see that data in trx. rsa7.

Hi,

Its alright if you delete the setup table data. Its only used for initializing the delta and doing the history loads.
