Deleting Setup Tables

Hi Everyone,

We are upgrading to ECC 6.0 ... While running the prepare, it gave us error that the setup tables for appl comp 11 and 13 have to be deleted.

My Question is we already have deltas coming in for those two applications, Will the deletion of setup table impact the daily delta in any manner?

I remember reading Roberto Negro's post that the setup tables can be deleted once the init has been done and it wont affect the delta. But in this case after the upgrade can it impact the delta? Do we need to take any precautions?

Or has anyone encountered a similar situation?

FYI we are on BW3.5

Thats what I was thinking too. I wont need them until a repair with data transfer is required.

If you are currently using deltas, then delete the data in the setup tables. The data in the setup tables are only good for full loads and init w/ data. The setup tables have no impact on the delta data.
