Hi, is it possible to stage a material via EWM PMR and backflush in ECC during confirmation? I am trying but getting COGI error "Essential transfer parameters are missing in record: 000001".I am using EWM 9.4 and ECC 6.00 ehp7.

Hi,

Well, according to this you can: https://help.sap.com/viewer/3d97bec9bf1649099384bb8167df3cf2/9.5.0.1/en-US/ae9beb535cbb5d1ee10000000.... But never tested it.

The thing I just always wonder: why the hell would you want to do this??? The whole purpose of the PMA is to have no deliveries for the production order. Why do people always want to do one thing - and then mess it up with something else?

Hey Juergen,

If we are using Advanced Production Staging and do not want to consume each HU manually in EWM, how would we do it? Backflush is the only way in my opinion but curious about your thoughts.

In my system ECC backflush isn't able to create the outbound delivery (consumption posting), gives the error T331 entry for warehouse number W01 and storage type not found in COGI. it's like it's not able to recognize the EWM config and thinks I'm on a WM warehouse and can't find the storage type. Curious about your thoughts on that as well

Thank you for your reply Juergen,

Apologies but I have only just found it. I agree with your comment and it is poor practice to backflush batch managed materials however, it is not possible to measure the quantities between different process orders, and there should be only 1 (maximum 2) batches of the material on the PSA at any one time, so back-flushing is the only route for consumption. I have overcome my initial problem, the Shipping Point was missing, now during confirmation, if a component material is not batch managed an outbound delivery is being created no problem, but for batch managed materials I am getting COGI error "T331 entry for warehouse number XXX and storage type not found" and no delivery is created, any ideas how to fix this?
I have found OSS note, but not sure if it is correct one to solve my problem 1969012 - EWM-relevant storage location: Incorrect or no batch determination?

Appreciate some advice please, regards, Emma.

Hi Emma,

I'm stuck with the same issue, did you find a resolution?
