Storage Location MRP

I wonder if someone can help me please,

We have a material which is used in 3 seperate storage locations. At the moment the requirements for this item is shown at plant level as one lump. is it possible to get the system to generate individual requisitions based on demand for this item at the 3 locations? I have changed the issue location within the BOM's so that these items are consumed from the correct location. At the moment we run MRP collectively at plant level only. I have been looking at MRP Areas but i'm not sure that this is the answer.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

According to SAP help it seems MRP Area is the right answer.

You can exlude SLocs from planning or you can use consumption based planning for them (if you do not want to implement MRP areas) but I'm not sure that you want this...
