Hi Radha

first of all obtain the start and end date for each periods

then go to TC OB29 and create a new Fiscal Year Variant

make it 'Year Dependant' and state the number of periods (which should be 12) and the number of special periods (ranging from 1 - 4)

then highlight the new FYV and click on the 'Periods' tab on the left hand corner

New Entries

and enter the Year

under the month column - give 1 (denoting the month in the English Calendar)

under the Day Column - give the last day of the first period

Under the Period Column - (denoting the 1st period) give it as 1

Under the Year Shift - make it 0 - meaning that it is classified for the current year

keep doin the same thing till u hit the last period, which should be like below

12 28 12 0

12 31 1 +1

where 28 is the last day for period 12 for this year and

the next line ending in 31 is for the next year, therefore denoted by a +1

hope this helps

Thanks for your reply.

Fiscal year has 4 quarters. Each quarter has 13 weeks which are grouped into two 4-weeks "months" and one 5-week "month". How to do this in OB29?

And we need one special posting for each quarter.. how to do this ????

Hi,

You need to set up your 4-4-5 fiscal year variant as year dependent and not as a calendar year. For year 2007, the OB29 definition would be as under (assuming your week starts on a Monday).

1 28 1 0

2 25 2 0

4 1 3 0

4 29 4 0

5 27 5 0

7 1 6 0

7 29 7 0

8 26 8 0

9 30 9 0

10 28 10 0

11 25 11 0

12 30 12 0

12 31 1 +1
