Missing table variants in SE16N after upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0

After Upgrade to ECC 6.0 ,certain variants for standard tables like MARA,MARC,EINE,EINA etc....in SE16N are missing.Can anyone help me to restore the variants.

Did you run the variant save report during the upgrade and did you restore them?

I Guess we have not run any reports related to variants.

Is the report save variant applicable for table variants (esp for SE16N) ? can u pls send across the report name.

The upgrade itself (SAPup) asks during the upgrade if you want to save the variants and after the upgrade it asks again if you want to restore them.

If you haven't done that, then those variants may be lost.

We are done with the Upgrade Process now,we find only certain variants missing...we face problem particularly with table variants..can u pls suggest any solution to restore these table variants.

If you didn't save them they are gone - you can't restore them if you didn't run the report before (from where do you want to restore?)

On top of that, if you have tables, that changed during the upgrade, the variants won't work any more.

I suggest you write a report or use queries to get your data instead of using SE16N.

I actually meant exporting of table's variant from one client and importing to another..is there any way to do that ....If so pls suggest..
