Hello colleagues, my question is this:

Is it necessary to activate the GL company for intercompany elimination? and if necessary, should a FI company have a by GL company, or is there another way to do it?

Regards

Hello,

From your question it seems you are referring to BPC embedded. Please provide some clarification about what specific IOBJ you are using or intend to use, and if you are using RTC or any type of direct access to HANA views.

Based my experience working with customers who have configured BPC embedded, unless if you are using RTC you have to decide what delivers the required BPC information, and once you decide to use a specific IOBJ, it has to be activated. I have not come across any references to "GL company" mapped to BPC but I know that GL accounts are mapped to BPC account dimension, and Company is mapped to BPC Entity.

I hope the answer helps.

Hello, thank you for your answer, it going to implement SAP 10.1 classic, but the FI consulters ask me, why it is necessary to activate the Trading Partner (Sociedad GL), as I understand is the only way to do eliminations intercompany in BPC, then I am asking, if there was another way to do?, and I would also like to know if this is the best way to do it, activating the Trading Partner in FI.

And how do you want to eliminate without trading partner?

Thank you for your answer, I want to explain you my dilemma to bit, in other projects the trading partner is always activated, but in this case the FI consultants, do not want to activate the trading partner, they tell me to make a homologation of customers and suppliers in BPC.

I want to have a base, for ask them to activate the trading partner.

Regards.

Hi,

If this question is regarding BPC standard then there is no direct relationship between FI objects or data and BPC. BPC has its own IOBJs which server as accounts and entities. Therefore, if you are using BPC standard and have no need to load master data from FI then you do not need to activate it.

Trading partner info is not a master data, but transactional data load!
