Please help me out....

in clarifying these doubts...

1.How do we maintain masterdata...

we do hiring action thru pa40..(is it thru hiring action we maintain maasterdata)

what ever infotypes we use in pa 40 are displayed in pa30...

but can we do hiring using pa 30 also...

where else can we maintain masterdata.

we can hire employee throgh PA30 also

and we can use PA70 for fast data entry

Hi Su,

Hiring, termination, org. change type of actions are done through PA40. Only the infotypes that are relevant to that action are filled here (these are determines throgh info groups in Customization). All of the ITs including the ones in PA40 can be maintained through PA30. You need no other plase for Personnel Master data. However, for OM master data you can use PP01, 02, vs.. transactions.

hi,

you cannot create initial data through pa30.

the initial data needs to be done through pa40 only.

this will be the master data.

later on for maintaining the other data Pa30 is used.

pa30 also handles transaction data like every day data.

pa30 you have 0000 infotype. it has the data created thruough pa40.
